Ajwain seeds (aka Carom seeds) are used a lot in Indian cooking. They have a distinctive flavour, similar to Thyme and Oregano as Ajowain contains thymol. Use in recipes such as stir fries, lentils and curries. Dry fry some seeds and add to your favourite Indian bread dough – chapati, flatbread or other.

Ajwain also has plenty of health benefits and some say it is just as powerful as Turmeric. The seeds contain an abundance of nutrients, vitamins, minerals and fibre that may help ward off many ailments and diseases.
